A moment on the beach
The pink scarf wrapped around her hair and loosely flowed down her back, finding its resting point just below the waist. This was the only item of clothing worn by the woman who was steadily swinging her way toward me. Unlike Shakira, it was evident that her hips did, indeed lie, as she walked with an exaggerated swing through the sand. Her walk was enough for me to turn my eyes back to my book, after all, there were a few other guys hanging around me, under the shade of a palapa. A few seconds later I heard ‘excuse me’, she was now standing right in front of me. I decided to keep my eyes on my book, and then a guy eagerly jumped forward, with his eyes also jumping all over the naked woman. She then said ‘ash tray’, handed him a cigarette but, and walked off like she owned the whole beach.
1 hour later….a shelf is found
Found a cool guy on couchsurfing to hold my book for me, nice…
Just hope the weighing scale are as nice to me when it comes to paying for shipping….
looking for a new home
This is the heavy ass guide-book, that i eagerly or stupidly bought about South America. I don’t really like using guidebooks as i find they take all the fun out of travel, but no doubt it will be useful when it comes to visas, logistics, maps and stuff. Half the book is accommodation and restaurants that i wont be using, but tearing out all that is a task thats beyond me, 1500 pages! I reckon i wont be in SA till about a year from now, maybe less, maybe more.
So i can haul this dead weight book for a year, and practice swearing at it in Spanish every time i ride up hill, or i can find a temporary home for it in Panama or Costa Rica…
And no, im not a weakling, im already taking 3 big Spanish text books, and two other novels….
Couchsurfing is my best bet, I have four days…
Do you know anyone in Central America?
the search is on…..
